Our dearest friends,

Andrew's first birthday is coming up and we hope you will be able to share our joy with us at a small gathering that we have organised. 

While we are blessed to have Andrew as the latest "collection" to our family and is definately worthy of a celebration, we felt that we are now living in a world of excessive consumption and wastage in an unsustainable manner. We hope we can make a small difference in our life by finding happiness through experiences and peoples than through materials. Therefore, we only ask for your (family)'s presence to share our joy by spending good time together with us without any gifts to Andrew. (Andrew is lucky enough to have a brother who has a nation worth of toy supplies already eventhough Darren thinks that those are his private properties)  

So, instead of getting gifts for Andrew, we hope you can channel your kind gesture as a donation to Doctors Without Borders. We chose this organisation because they ensure 80% or more of the funds raised are used for relief operations. In 2017, 87.1% of the funding was allocated to support relief operation. With that small gesture from each of us, we hope that we could start to learn to not just to share but to save at the same time.
