Catherine was born in Hong Kong. She lived, studied and worked in London, New York, Paris and Shanghai for 20 years and recently returned to Hong Kong. After being in the fashion industry for over a decade, she took a dramatic turn inspired by a charity trip in Yunnan, China for Project Hope. Her favorite quote, “The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away." William Shakespeare.

In 2015, Catherine became the Director of Program Development in Liu Yong Ling Foundation to assist this 30-year-old charity foundation with a more up-to-date approach to support young people and giving back to society through innovative science development.

Catherine was known for her avant-garde designs for hand-knit that was featured in International media to name a few: WB11 News, Vogue, Elle and Spur. Working with her same team for 13 years in India, she created the ‘hand-woven canvas’ with over 20,000 recycled snack wrappers, which was inspired in a surfing morning in Bali to create awareness of ocean pollution.

Catherine created the series MY LOVE LETTERS TO TRUMP to project her view on embrace diversity and positivity as she wrote her letter by light. To celebrate the neon light sign tradition in Hong Kong, she collaborates with local neon light craftsmen to spread messages of 'Love has no race', 'Love has no religion' and 'Love has no place for hatred'.

During the Second HK SZ Design Biennale 2016 (September 1-30), the exhibition aims to raise awareness of humanity by sharing love and contributions in donation to Medecins Sans Frontieres.
