Dearest famile and friends,
I've selected "MSF/Doctors Without Borders" as my charity of choice for my 2016 birthday.
I'm sure all of you have come across news of the refugee crisis in Europe and the deeply disturbing wars in Afghanistan, Iraq and in Syria in the last couple of years. In recent months, it seems to be getting much worse with news of constant war plans overhead, air strikes at anytime of the day, even bombing schools and hospitals. Woefully, all the pain and causalities are caused by man's greed for power and control.
Here in Hong Kong, the warm X'mas and sunny days seem to keep us far far away from all of these atrocities. We're making our livings, babies, families... while people there are just trying to stay alive, feed their babies and hold onto what is left of their families.
So in this season of giving, let us remember not only our loved ones but also those that needs us, and with great empathy and compassion let's do a little something for them! Let us support these field workers that chose to work in where humanitarian aid is most needed like war torn countries.
